Nov. 12 - 30, 2024

Written and Performed by Zoë Kim*

Dramaturgy by Amrita Ramanan
Boston Center for the Arts, Plaza Black Box Theatre (539 Tremont St, Boston, MA)
Did You Eat? (밥 먹었니?) is Zoë Kim’s autobiographical journey through love’s many forms–how it’s learned, given, and reflected inward. In a nimble and tender solo performance, Zoë shapeshifts into the souls of her family into a whirlwind of memory, where tears and laughter collide.
It’s not just a story, but a reckoning–weaving through the soft threads of Korean/American identity, belonging, and healing. Did You Eat? (밥 먹었니?) is a poetic love letter to the inner child, and hopefully yours too.
At CHUANG Stage, tickets are "Pay-As-You-Are" to provide radical access to theatre for those who identify as working-class immigrants of Asian American descent, a population in Boston underrepresented in arts and culture patrons. When you "Pay-As-You-Are," we empower you to select the ticket price that best reflects your socio-economic status and take action in community accountability to make arts accessible for all.
Age Recommendation: Did You Eat? (밥 먹었니?) is recommended for audiences aged 13 and older.
Content Advisory: Did You Eat? (밥 먹었니?) addresses complex and sensitive topics including experiences of childhood trauma, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.
